Meera Sanyal

Meera Sanyal is currently the Chairperson and Country Executive for ABN AMRO Bank (now RBS) in India and on the National Advisory Board of AIESEC, an international students’ organization. Prior to this, she was the Chief Operations Officer for the Asia Pacific region responsible for the IT, Operations and Property services. In 2001, she set up ACES, ABN AMRO’s Global Shared Services company. When it comes to NGO’s, her exemplary work shines through aspects like heritage conservation, sustainable development and various other environmental issues. She entered the world of politics by announcing her candidature in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls from the Mumbai South Constituency.

She is the recipient of awards like the Karma veer Puraskaar 2008 (Award for the best Corporate Executive Citizen), Woman Banker of the Year 2006 Indian Merchants Chamberand the AIESECHall of Fame award.
